Hi, I’m Jess, a photographer based in London, covering feminist and queer weddings across the UK and Internationally on film & digital
I work with equally minded couples to photograph their weddings and civil partnerships.
My focus is on fitting around you and your enjoyment of the day as it unfolds.
My couples tell me that they felt they could be themselves with me, and that the photos felt like a natural part of the celebrations.
Representation matters: a focus on LGBTQ+ weddings
I work with couples to create images that reflect their personalities and connection. The most important thing to me is that the people I work with feel safe, understood and seen.
What do you hope to see when you look back on your celebration?
Most of my couples tell me that they look forward to seeing themselves immersed in their day with the people they love. I’m a documentary and editorial style wedding photographer, which means I’m here to help guide but not direct the action, and take a combination of portraits and ‘in the moment’ images, with a focus on emotion, energy and dramaturgy. I shoot both digital and film, and my approach is often described as unscripted and spontaneous.
My favourite compliment from clients is, ‘it felt like having another friend there with us on the day’.
As a documentary style and editorial wedding photographer, my approach is often described as unscripted, intimate and relaxed. This includes a mixture of portraits and in-the-moment unposed shots. What I love most about weddings is getting to know the people present; their stories and the dynamics between them.
I’ll be there to help make naturally joyful, real images happen while you’re caught up in the moment.
