Elmley Nature Reserve Wedding

Elmley Nature Reserve is based on an island just over an hour away from London, a unique venue in Kent set on a private 3,300 acre estate with views of the landscape of the Isle of Sheppey. This venue is perfect if you’re looking for a private, exclusive-use venue near London. Elmley feels like a destination wedding location, with marshlands and even a private beach. There are lots of different areas for guests to explore, and a comfortable house for getting ready in. Ceremonies at Elmley Nature Reserve can take place outside on the grass, surrounded by wildflowers. The central barn is decorated with festoon lighting and has a beautiful big window throwing natural light into the room. Here we heard speeches from both brides and their best people, before tables were moved aside to make way for band-oke and a packed dancefloor.

This Elmley Nature Reserve wedding is, hands down, one of my favourites to date. Claire and Rach invited 160 guests to party with them and it was nothing short of a spectacular day. We were blessed with a very golden sunset, and took photos of the two brides and their wedding party in the long grass, with tipis (which you can rent for your weekend wedding) in the distance. Wedding photography at Elmley Nature Reseve is a dream; the venue lends itself to a relaxed pace, with lots of locations that are perfect for group and couple photos.

Scroll through to see a sing-along-ceremony, drinks in the blazing sun, a saxophone, dozens of happy kids, Oscar worthy speeches and THAT SUNSHINE 🔥
